Misquoted Verses of Quran

We are always bugged with incessant reminders of the violence and terrorist promoting verses on Quran and how a fundamentalist can cause danger to a society by the way Quran guides them. The fact is Reading Quran completely adhering to the historical and literate context it is very evident Islam in no means promotes terrorism, nor does it order any Muslim to kill another human due to a disjuncture in religious faith.

I don't really know how should people be categorised as ignorant, islamophobes, or sheeple (follow the majority blindly) who mis-apply the Quran verses to forcefully make others believe Islam is violent and Muslims should be eradicated from wherever we are. Yes, this happens especially if you are in a  non-Muslim country!.

Muslims do not hide bombs under their burqas and hijabs, or AK47 under the beards, well that is what media made this world think - and I would not blame them for thinking so, but where is this self educating role? Why would not people (majority) grab a copy of Quran and read things out for themselves than shivering and trembling the next time they see a hijabi or beard-guy? (This never happens as a matter of fact, rather people verbal abuses or your precious possessions being thrown at us!)

The verses in the Quran which people often speak about as violent are those orders in the history for the prophet and his believers for self-defense. And then rises the common argument why would a Holy Book speaks of violence, jihad and punishments? Well, it is indeed a Holy Book, the words from the Almighty, but what many people fail to realise is that Quran unlike other religious scriptures followed on the face of Earth, is a complete guidance for living, which speaks of morals, law, judiciary system, business & jobs, finances, family life, marriages, kids, education, lineage,h science, health, history and religious duties. Yup, everything in one book and it is a complete book of no errors or contradictions!

If having mentioned of punishments and war in this book is violent the most violent book is the law books taught in law colleges or the warfare taught in Armies! -That is different from this? Well not, Quran is the complete book that covers every aspect of human lives and it has not left our warfare and laws for ruling a country.

I have sorted some articles from various web links to clarify many misconceptions of these Quran verses in the following links.

"And slay them wherever ye catch them.." [Quran Surah Baqrah 2:191]
Misquoted Verse of Quran 2:191

"..slay the Pagans wherever ye find them..." [Quran At-Tawbah 9:5]
Misquoted Verse of Quran 9:5

"[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip." [Quran Al-Anfaal 8:12]
Misquoted Verse of Quran 8:12

"But if they turn away, catch them and slaughter them wherever ye find them; and  take no friends or helpers from their ranks." [Quran An-Nissa 4:89]
Misquoted Verse of Quran 4:89

This post will be updated with other verses soon :)

Reading through the verses and the historical context in each of them it is obvious these were not verses that promoted terrorism rather Islam was the religion that had ordered to stand against any form of terrorism no matter how strong the oppressors was or their level of aggressiveness was, Islam has taught to fight against terrorists, oppressors and tyranny.
