Reconciliation of Islam into 21st Century

"Islam should tune with the Modern world to ensure it's survival". This is a common heard statement amongst the Muslim countries striving for democracy and nationalism. The western educated ruling class are incessant in in reminding that we cannot live in the bygone age, made to believe that it is impossible to turn back the clock. Hence we are moving into fulfill the needs of the secular society.

Now we are given plenty of suggestions to become strong, that we must reject 'traditional' interpretations of the Quran and rather read it "rationally" in the light of modern life. The modern reforms instituted by Muslim countries have this goal, but how any of us are realizing the impacts and importance of these in the Muslim community?

The idea of an Islamic state is an anathema to the western rules world hence we are persistently told to abolish the system of Khalifate and dismiss any possibility of its revival. Politics and government based on religion are considered to be medieval, and plenty of Muslim countries are working hard towards spreading the blame of various evil afflicted on them throughput history on the Khalifate system. There are also claims Khilafate system is not in Islam as our beloved Prophet Muhammed ( PBUH) mission was limited to preaching.

Islam cannot live without an Islamic community, and an Islamic community cannot survive without an organized leadership.

Shariah is vehemently condemned in the western society, who believes the secular laws can contribute more towards the well-being of the society than the Shariah. After abolishing the khalifate the next target would be the shariah. We are made to believe shariah isn't compatible for the current culture, where drugs, alcohol, gambling, interest and sex have a major part of the daily activities hence the secular laws are rather feasible and the punishment for these according to shariah are considered inhumane. Islamic way of life cannot persist without shariah.

It is not going to be a hard task fore the destruction of the Muslim ummah after abolishing the Islamic system and law. Instead of being one ummah despite of language, race and country we are told to pride ourselves with our nationalism. This would only lead to the isolation of the Muslim people from one another.

Islam for ourselves is a common idea striking among the Muslim countries, they even want the Quran not with Arabic and their language translated but solely in their own language. Isn't this an open invitation to the include variations and misconceptions in the Holy Quran?

With the industrialization modern philosophies declare all problems can be overcome without the divine aid. And that is the reason for all the endless struggles fought to eradicate poverty, diseases and ignorance and yet no government is willing to enforce the Zakath, prohibit interest or bring Quranic laws into action.

Our western influenced leaders also strive for the liberation of the women. Liberation and freedom is when they have the rights to gain education and develop minds and exhibit their skills but what is rather meant as emancipation at today's context is women socially mingling with men and wearing clothes immodest and rather make them a prey of eyes. Western clothing have now become the symbol for progress and development while traditional and modest clothing is regarded as backwardness and ignorance. Implying the western dress code among our ummah only leads us astray from chastity and Islamic ways.

We are moving in to a system where Islamic ways are evidently made invisible and adopting the western cultures in to ours.  Has not our prophet Muhammed (PBUH) entioned: "He who imitates a people one of them" ?

It is enough us being blind fold. The more we strive to reform Islam and make it incompatible to the modern life, the more weaker we become. Now shown what happens on re-conciliating Islam to current context, it is time for you all to decide what can be done?

Oceanology in Quran

The miracles in Quran are never ending, When I came across these Quran verses, Subhanallah I was astonished.

Oceanology in The Noble Quran

He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. [55:19]

Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. [55:20]

Above lines from the Quran says the seas meet and mix but yet there is a barrier among them, this was a statement which was unable to be answered by earlier commentators.

Recently revealed fact:
Amazing natural phenomenon where the North Sea and Baltic Sea meets, but do not mix with each other!

Modern Science has discovered that in places where two different seas meet, there is a barrier between them. This barrier divides the two seas so that each sea has its own temperature, salinity and density. {Principles of Oceanography, Davis, pp. 92-93.} There is an unseen water barrier between the two seas, such that when water from one sea enters the other it loses its specific characteristics and gets homogenized by the other sea.

This phenomenon has yet again been mentioned in the Quran as follows,

"And has set a barrier between the two seas"  [27:61]

And considering the following Quran verse, which speaks of divider between fresh and salt water

And it is He Who has let free the two seas (kinds of water), one palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter, and He has set a barrier and a complete partition between them. [25:53]

Now this may lead to a question that Quran is speaking of a partition when it when mentioning the fresh water and salt water, which was not mentioned while speaking of the seas.

Modern Sciences have revealed that in estuaries where fresh water and salt water meet the scenario is quite different from the meeting of two seas. Fresh water is distinguished from salt water in estuaries by a "pycnocline zone with a marked density discontinuity separating the two layers." {Oceanography, Gross, p.242. Also see Introductory Oceanography, Thurman, pp. 300-301 ; Oceanography, Gross, p. 244 and Introductory Oceanography, Thurman, pp.300-301}. This zone of partition has different salinity than that of the fresh water and salt water.

The human eye cannot directly observe these separations and barriers, while it has only just been recently discovered. But these are recorded in the Quran that was revealed to my beloved prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) 1400 years ago, is this not sufficient to know Quran is none but the words of Allah?

There was just one verse that came into my mind when coming across the science in Quran....

Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? [55:21]

Trusting everyone is dangerous,
Trusting no one is disastrous........!

It is easy to lay trust on anyone, and sometimes at the end of the day you will be hurt, trusting no one makes you feel secure but not for long..... you are deprived of belonging to a shoulder to lean onto!

Trials and Believers!

And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allah knows all that before putting them to test). [29:3]

Those who believe [in the Oneness of Allah (Monotheism) and in Messenger Muhammad SAW, and do not apostate because of the harm they receive from the polytheists], and do righteous good deeds, surely, We shall remit from them their evil deeds and shall reward them according to the best of that which they used to do.  [29:7]

Verily, Allah knows those who believe, and verily, He knows the hypocrites [i.e. Allah will test the people with good and hard days to discriminate the good from the wicked (although Allah knows all that before putting them to test)]. [29:11]

Are Muslims Fundamentalists?

Now that is one questions being often hurled at Muslims and moreover called as Terrorists too, on the contradictory Islam has become the fastest growing religion in the world too.

Of course Muslims are fundamentalists, as fundamentalists is referring to anyone who strictly adhere to the fundamentals of the doctrine or ideology they follow and never compromise on it.  A doctor can be the best if he follows the fundamentals on the medicine, similarly a true Muslim will be follow the fundamentals of Islam. Fundamentalists overall cannot be categorized to good or bad, it is based on the fundamental they are following. A thief following the fundamentals in it is bad and a doctor following the fundamentals of medicine is good.

Muslims follow the holy Quran, we abide by it, there isn't a fundamental of Islam that causes harm to human kind. Plenty of people have misconceptions about Islam and the fact is because they lack proper knowledge and understanding on Islam.

Questioning a religion to know the truth is right but abusing and spreading misconceptions without proper realization shows the individuals weakness and leads them astray!

Loneliness and Me

Loneliness has always been a part of me...
'There is no one for me, not even God.... He has moved away from me' was the most uttered words from my mouth.....

It's not God who was away from me, I was being frequent to check new messages in Facebook, forgot about the holy messages from Allah - Al-Quran..... I have been drifting away from him!

Alhamdulillah, I am beginning to discover the miracles of Quran again, the everlasting joys and cures... I'm not lonely anymore...  Allah is closer to me than anyone...

"He (Allah) said: Fear not, Verily I am with you both, hearing and seeing." [Taa-haa 20: 46]
"He is closer to you than your jugular vein" [Qaaf 50:16 ]
